Just a cool & random collections of some of the fun things I do. A lot of this content is for my 2 Sons to show and teach them how to do custom things. Will also show off some work that I brand under BeastMode Development which is a more professional platform to show my cool projects and offer others a way to allow me to help them realize their projects.

CT Scan to 3D Print

I got ahold of the CT Scan files from my latest Motorsports injury.. Broke my Right Tibia,Fibia& Ankle on an ATV on an offroad trail in Holister CA. I used an open source Viewing & slicing software that is very powerful for manipulating medical imaging and slecting what you want out of the scan. In this case I just wanted the bone detail. Test print at 50% Scale on a Bambu X1C 3D printer. This ...

Nice!
This is nuts. I did the exact same thing with a CMW Banggod frame. I didn't want to use the printed one in Nicholas Rehm's project. I haven't gotten this far on mine, maybe have 10% left. Cool to see others doing the same.
@@mikebergman1817 it's been a fun build. I def have a list of features I wish the code could do. It really could use position hold at zero throttle. Any wind really makes it a challenge
I'm using a custom designed frame by Beastmodedev.com. soon I should be releasing a build thread somewhere.
I like the rubber pulley. It should save your servo from stripping gears on a hard hit.
Sweet!
That's sick 🔥
Use 4 zip ties the whole tire its easier
That makes sense. Cool
I only have forward thrust fan and steering control. The rest is just autopilot trying to keep the craft level and height locked with the ground facing lidar. So there is nothing I can do to fight any side winds etc. So far it's just a very basic and very good working stabilizer. Optical flow position hold would be great for a spare channel
Neatly ^^
Amazing it’s alive
im guessing that you are using an onboard altimeter for the height regulation. a very interesting concept that reminds me of a hovercraft almost (without the air cushion)
Using a mini ground facing Lidar unit. It is like a skirt less hovercraft :-)
I have questions.
Cool idea!
Thanks!, It's Nick Rehm's idea, I just wanted to make a cool frame and try it out.
Damnit, dude. Where’s the result?! 😂
They came out awesome ! Here is a photo from my library photos.app.goo.gl/sEMvTxJi83LwCAtF8
@@DavidCook42 very cool! I think I’m going to give it a go with one of my shells. Engraving that is. Should be cute with a 5W diode. I’ll let ya know.
@@DangerHighVoltageZap awesome! Def let me know how it goes
Awesome!!!!!
Hello, can you teach me how to make the head spin? thank you
Hi, I just added a 9 gram micro servo to the body then used a Y-Harness to connect to the Steering servo channel. BUT this method sucks... so I moved to a 2 Axis servo gimbal with Head tracking motion control so I can look around more naturally. Also added a rear view camera so I can see behind me while in FPV
Which is best naza m light or naza v2 Or pixhawk
A pixhawk would give the most capability over naza variants
Awesome vid my man so cool
Super awesome Dave!!! ❤
Awesome job. Your drone flying is crazy..
Thanks! It's a lot of fun
Nicely done! The DJI Avata is a blast. I always look forward to flying mine 😁.
wow digital video was pretty crappy in 2008 lol
She is ripping it up awesome Willys
That’s so cool
Awesome it looks like she’s working
Wow what a rare experience so cool shoreline is awesome
Awesome I’m on your channel that car is amazing it’s legit Lee a real raid racing vehicle
1/5 SCALE IS an awesome sized platform for modding! lot of fun
Cool man
Hey how big is your garage been looking at a couple toy haulers with separate garage looking for a 13ft or 15
It's a 12 ft, very tight.
😔 'PromoSM'
would be good to say why PromoSM is even relevant :-) ( for the other commenters to know.)
where is this from?
Was in San Mateo California at the time
My machine had a lot of trouble printing it. I think it’s pretty cool ngl
My previous machines would never have been able to do this. My new QIDI X-Max 3 did it perfectly with the stock High Speed PLA profile at 300mm/s This printer is friggin amazing
make a shirt
5000000000 hour print right there
The helmet was 16 hours and the faceplate was 11 hours. printed at 300mm/s.
Hexagons are the bestagons
Yes they are!!
That is so original!!!
se ve muy bueno
Cool print keep on going! o and where did you find the stl?
Thanks! the file was my Clients ( he bought it from Etsy ) and just needed the print and they will finish it up. Sure is neat seeing something like that come out of the printer though :-)
Can’t get the rear bead to stay
It is tricky for sure, another thing you can do is warm the tire up to soften it a little, but then you need to wear some thick work gloves to protect your hands.
Nice Dave! I think ionic thruster will be great to add on RC boat
Niice job can't wait to see it rip
That's awesome! looks expensive
At the time it was a LOT less expensive than the version that did this. Plus was a lot of fun to try and solve the issues.
Hey dave are you powering the universal stepper motors with k40 drivers or did you switch mptors too?
Hey. Using the original motors, but just using a simple arduino CNC shield running GRBL to drive it. It's very low speed though.
Hey Dave, Are you still running this set up 6 years later? Can you call out any problems since installing? I originally found your thread on the focus RS forums. Please let me know.
Yes I am, frigging loved it since day 1, and I have not had any issues with it.
Bro I just had my purge valve replaced and ford tech. Didn't know what I had setup and the way they rigged it is definitely an eye sore super sloppy. Also I have a mountune full recirculating bypass valve installed replaced my turbosmart it was to "Boy racer" WHOOOOSH WHOOOOSH. The car has no performance issues just wondering if setup is fine as is I mean from what I see it's setup exactly as yours only difference is my actual blow off valve is full recirculating bypass valve from mountune not turbosmart
Should be good. Just make sure your turbo is not fluttering excessively.or it could mean the valve is not opening as intended
Sick but there is no sound
Pause, wait, now this is a first.
Thats talent. Looks so easy to control it with the motion controller. Well done 👌🍻
Awesome video I would love to hear the Boomba Recirculation Valve vs this
Life is short, Spray that boost to Atmos lol. The Factory Valve Recirculates, but I don't remember if I could hear it or not. I'm still loving this #Boomba in my car today. ~ 5 years later. The looks from people are soo much fun lol.
@@DavidCook42 Awesome thanks to you I’m switching to Boomba from my Turbosmart 50/50 it’s not loud enough compared to how it was on the ST. Also wonder how HKS would sound not a lot of videos of our cars with it sadly.
Way cool and thanks so much for sharing. GREAT JOB YOU GUYS. So when are u gonna build mine?
Glad you enjoyed it Trudie !
